Retro rustic Industrial Floating Shelf
Design by Jakob V, inspired by Brandon Builds.
Built using genuine industrial steel pipes and smoked oak shelves. The steel parts have been treated with cold bluing, an environment-friendly version of the traditional anti-rust treatment used in the 19th century. The steel parts have then been treated with lacquer for increased endurance. The steel parts have a natural feel and have not been colored. The treatment does however darken them.
The smoked oak shelves are created using ammonia fuming. An old method to protect and darken wood, that can be traced back to the late 1840s. They are then treated with an anti-stain protection layer.
A minimalistic, yet masculine design. Inspired by the industrial styles seen in New York and Sydney, but with a Scandinavian twist.
It’s possible to order tailored designs in other shapes, sizes and colors.
