GLOBAL SERVICE & AFTERMARKET DIRECTOR Commercial drive – Global impact
As Global Service & Aftermarket Director, you will have real business ownership and full P&L responsibility for a strategically important growth area. You will build further on a strong foundation, a capable team and a global installed base with significant untapped potential.
Key responsibilities:
· Own and develop the Organisation and Strategy required for further growth.
· Own the Global Service & Aftermarket business, including P&L, profitability, people leadership and commercial priorities.
· Develop the global service sales setup through regional offices, partners, representatives and internal sales interfaces.
· Lead and develop the Service & Aftermarket offerings with your dedicated team.
· Strengthen customer value through a understanding of customers operational challenges, technical credibility and Service expected.
· Work closely with the existing team and shared functions to improve customer response, quote lead time and service delivery.
Organization and interfaces:
This is a senior leadership role with real business ownership for Service & Aftermarket, incl. P&L responsibility and personnel responsibility. You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Finance, regional offices and the existing Service & Aftermarket team. Success will depend on your ability to set direction, create structure, influence priorities and mobilize shared resources across the company.
We are looking for someone who has:
· Experience from international technical B2B/OEM service, aftermarket or installed-base business.
· Strong commercial drive and proven ability to grow service, aftermarket or lifecycle business.
· Technical understanding and credibility with customers and engineering teams.
· Experience with P&L responsibility, business ownership or clear commercial account-ability.
· Experience developing sales structures, regional representatives, partners or service channels.
· Willingness to travel extensively when needed to our customers, and for motivating regional offices and key markets.
· Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Experience from marine, shipyards, offshore, port equipment, lifting equipment, hydraulics, automation, heavy equipment or technical OEM service is a clear advantage.
Personal profile:
You are commercial, but not only a salesperson. You are technically competent, operationally credible and able to build trust with demanding international customers. You enjoy being close to the market, understanding customer needs and turning these into profitable service, upgrade and lifecycle opportunities, i.e. business development.
You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and are comfortable working through an integrated organization where collaboration is essential.
