Radar Signal Processing Developer Wanted
Do you want to be part of delivering a new best-in-class surveillance radar?
At Weibel we have a long and proud history of developing and manufacturing highly advanced radar systems for both defence and civilian applications. We have recently launched XENTA - a new Surveillance Radar for Short Range Air Defence and Counter-UAS applications. XENTA is a state-of-the-art radar system, developed for high-performance 3D air surveillance of all types of air threats. We are looking to hire an additional radar signal processing developer to increase our capacity for new deliveries.
Software development with focus on signal processing
You will become one of our specialists in a team of very experienced and dedicated signal processing engineers. We do not expect you to already be an expert in radar. We are ready to invest in your training as long as you have the drive, energy and ambition to aim for world-class as the only acceptable standard.
Your primary tasks will be to:
Design, develop, test and document signal processing modules for our new surveillance radar
Design, implement and optimize new algorithms in CUDA
Produce specifications, unit tests, test procedures, documentation, etc
Participate in demos and integration efforts with 3rd parties
You will be based at our Oslo office and can look forward to travelling 20-30 days per year to meet colleagues and partners, primarily 1-2 day trips to our HQ in Copenhagen where we have our hardware colleagues and production setup.
Ambitious team player with signal processing and software development experience
At Weibel we think and act as a team. We know that we can only reach genuine world-class by utilizing the skills and knowledge of everyone. As such, you must be a team player that likes to share ideas in an open minded and positive way – and at the same time take responsibility for your own tasks. Your professional background comprises::
A university degree within physics, math, engineering, computer science or the like
Experience with signal and data processing
Experience with C++ and Linux mandatory
Experience with CUDA, Qt, Git, JIRA and SCRUM desirable
Good English skills, written and spoken
Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance at NATO Secret level once employed.
Your new team
You will join a group of more than 80 highly skilled professionals with diverse backgrounds in computer science, engineering, mathematics, and physics. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, ensuring a seamless transition from design to deployment of our software and algorithms. We're dedicated to the ongoing refinement of our processes and the strategic integration of new technologies.
In the larger Weibel R&D department, you will find yourself among 250 colleagues. Together, we design and deliver outstanding solutions to our customers. With all our development done in-house, your expertise will be valued across a broad spectrum of technical disciplines, from system engineering to technical design.
