Evotec produces maritime handling systems within the marketareas seismic, offshore & wind, research, wild catch and aquaculture.

Due to increasing workload, we are now seeking Field Service Engineers within:

• Electrical

• Automation

• Mechanical

• Pipefitting

The positions offer a 4/4 rotation agreement. 
You must be adventurous and ready to travel at short notice when needed. We deliver projects to many market areas and customers worldwide and aim to be a supplier that closely follows customers throughout the lifespan of vessels and equipment. To secure our future, we must ensure that customers are well taken care of through the services we offer. 

As a Field Service Engineer, you will take on exciting responsibilities such as:  

• First line solving customer challenges 

• Providing hands-on technical support and guidance to our valued customers. 

• Developing and implementing customized technical solutions. 

• Participating in technical meetings to evaluate customer needs and propose optimal solutions. 

• Commissioning new installations and conducting customer training to ensure successful operation. 

• General service tasks and maintenance 

• Performing service and troubleshooting tasks. 

• Enhancing your expertise in handling systems for demanding environments. 

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have: 

• Technical background within Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or is a technician within a related field. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education. 

• Experience in similar roles, especially within industrial, marine, or offshore sectors.  

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues by using a remote maintenance platform/software. 

• A customer-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently. 

• Willingness to travel extensively, both within Norway and abroad.  

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends 

• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).  

• Offshore certification (or willingness to obtain one. Training and support will be provided).  

Qualifications and Personal Attributes 

• Solid education in automation, electrical, control systems or mechanical. 

• Motivation to be the first line for solving customer challenges. 

• Motivated and structured employee who is proactive, takes responsibility, and is willing to play a central role in executing small and large jobs related to commissioning and service assignments at customer sites. 

• Ability to function both as a team player and independently on service assignments. 

• Attributes that make you a good ambassador for Evotec in customer interactions. 

• Commercial perspective that considers cost-optimal solutions for customers while ensuring profitability for the services and products we offer. 

The position primarily involves extensive travel. During periods without such assignments, participation in other types of work within the company, such as assembly and testing in our own production, may be required. 

Rotation Agreement 

This position includes a rotation agreement of 4 weeks on, followed by 4 weeks off. A training period at our location in Ulsteinvik should be expected before entering the rotation scheme.
