Grieg Seafood is now looking for an experienced, hands-on and technically strong Accounting Manager to take both the operational and professional lead of the accounting team. As Accounting Manager, you will take on a central role in the finance function and contribute directly to the continued development of accounting processes, internal controls and reporting quality. The role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and offers broad exposure across the business in a company where financial reporting, IFRS and sound judgement are critical to decision-making and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Leading the accounting team and ensuring high-quality accounting delivery across the full financial year cycle
• Holding overall responsibility for month-end, year-end and statutory closing activities, including note disclosures and tax-related calculations
• Taking a leading role in technical accounting assessments and IFRS-related matters relevant to the Group
• Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting rules, internal requirements and external reporting expectations in a listed environment
• Supporting the further development of robust accounting processes, documentation and internal controls
• Playing a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system, including testing and quality assurance of accounting and bookkeeping functionality
• Working closely with internal control, finance and other stakeholders to strengthen governance, transparency and efficiency
• Contributing to continuous improvement, standardisation and digital development across the accounting function

Background and qualifications

We are looking for a finance professional with strong accounting credentials, leadership capability and a genuine interest in both technical accounting and operational execution.

• Authorisation as an accountant or auditor
• Solid experience from accounting, audit or a comparable finance function
• Strong experience across the full accounting year cycle, including year-end close, note preparation and tax calculations
• Strong knowledge of accounting legislation and relevant frameworks, including IFRS
• Good understanding of VAT and Norwegian accounting requirements
• Experience from ERP implementation, or a strong interest in contributing to system implementation and process development
• Strong systems understanding and confidence in working with digital finance tools

• Experience from listed companies, audit environments or industries with complex IFRS issues will be considered an advantage.
