The Startouch ST-2 A/B+Y is a boutique signal switcher designed for guitarists and bassists who need flexible routing between multiple amplifiers, effects chains, or instruments. Handmade in the USA with point-to-point wiring and premium components, the ST-2 is engineered for true tonal transparency, free from pops, hum, bleed, or phase issues.
In standard operation, the pedal allows a single instrument to be routed to two amplifiers or channels, selectable as either A, B, or both simultaneously. It can also be used in reverse, enabling two instruments to feed into one amplifier and toggling between them. This makes the ST-2 ideal for stereo rigs, wet/dry setups, multi-channel amps, or quick guitar changes on stage.
The circuit is fully passive and requires no power for signal routing. A 9V battery or adapter is only necessary to power the indicator LEDs. Notably, the ST-2 uses a center-positive DC input, requiring a polarity-reverse adapter when integrating with most standard pedalboard power supplies.
Controls:
- A/B Footswitch (Left): Selects between output A or output B.
- All On Footswitch (Right): Toggles between both outputs active (A+B) or the current A/B selection.
- LED Indicators: Show which outputs are active; colors vary depending on the unit.
Connections:
- Input jack: Accepts the instrument signal (guitar, bass, or other source).
- A Output: Sends signal to amplifier or effects chain A.
- B Output: Sends signal to amplifier or effects chain B.
- 9V DC Jack: For LED operation only; center-positive polarity.
- Battery Snap: Accepts a 9V battery for powering LEDs.
