About the role

Techstep is experiencing strong development and growth, and we are now looking for an operationally strong Head of Group Accounting. You will be responsible for the accounting team and the financial reporting for all Group entities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal guidelines at all times. In addition, you will coordinate accounting processes and drive the improvement and digitalization of internal routines and processes related to accounting, internal control, and reporting. The position reports to the CFO and works closely with the Executive Management team.

What will you do

• Overall responsibility for the Group’s accounting function in accordance with IFRS

• Responsible for statutory reporting, including VAT and tax reporting

• Ensure compliance with requirements from the Oslo Stock Exchange, the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway, and other authorities

• Lead and coordinate accounting activities and accounting team across entities and countries

• Improve and optimize processes and structures within the accounting area to ensure consistent and high-quality accounting deliveries

• Ensure adherence to Group policies and strong internal controls within financial reporting

• Act as the “owner” of SAP

• Act as the main point of contact for the Group’s external auditor

Desired Qualifications

• Higher education in finance or accounting (Master’s degree), preferably MRR / MSc AA

• Solid understanding of accounting and tax regulations

• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience from similar roles

• Documented leadership experience from building and developing accounting teams

• Experience in developing the SAP ERP system to support effective accounting processes

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
