Violin Teacher

We have a permanent position available as a Violin Teacher at CIS Sarpsborg. The position is 30% (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Responsibilities

• Teach Violin from beginner to advanced level

• Participate in collaboration and professional learning communities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate innovative and engaging instruction in line with the current curriculum

• Contribute to students' academic and social development

• Contribute to a positive learning environment at the school

Qualifications

• Approved pedagogical education / in the process of completing approved education

• Relevant education in music

Personal qualities

• Strong written and spoken English skills

• Proficiency with digital systems as teaching and work tools

• Enjoys working with young people

• Independent, flexible, and solution-oriented

• Skilled at building relationships with students and colleagues

• Strong communication skills, and a confident and clear classroom leader

Police clearance certificate required

A valid police clearance certificate (politiattest) must be presented before commencing the position, in accordance with the Education Act. The certificate must not be older than three months.

Children's International School has schools in Sarpsborg, Moss and Fredrikstad in Østfold. CIS is a private international primary school, offering the IBO program for grades 1 to 10.

CIS is a school that places great emphasis on both theoretical and aesthetic subjects. Students will have lessons on an instrument, playing in the school orchestra, participate in choir, dance and drama.
