At Finago, we’re building a shared, modern product platform for finance, payroll, and HR used by customers across the Nordics. To support our continued growth, we’re now looking for a Senior Software Developer to join one of our autonomous product teams.

Your mission? 🚀 

As a Senior Software Developer at Finago, you will be a key contributor in a product team with full responsibility for its part of the solution; from idea and development to production and operations. You’ll work closely with your teammates to build reliable, scalable systems that customers depend on every day. 

You’ll join a modern engineering environment with a strong focus on quality, 
ownership, and continuous learning, where autonomous teams work with 
short decision paths and real influence on both product and technology.

• Developing robust, scalable backend services and APIs  

• Contributing to technical design decisions and architectural discussions within the team  

• Writing high-quality code with strong test coverage and a focus on security  

• Actively participating in code reviews and technical discussions  

• Collaborating closely with the Tech Lead, Product Manager, Design, and QA  

• Continuously improving development processes, tools, and workflows

Ready to make an impact? 💥 

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer who enjoys taking responsibility and thinking beyond individual tasks. To succeed in this role, we believe you: 

• Have 8+ years of experience as a software developer, with strong backend 
  expertise 

• Enjoy understanding how systems fit together, not just solving isolated tickets  

• Take ownership of quality, stability, and long-term maintainability  

• Share knowledge, give constructive feedback, and contribute positively to the team  

• Are comfortable working in both Norwegian and English  

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, integrations, or building AI-enabled features is considered a plus 

🛠️ Depending on the product, you’ll work with technologies such as: 

• TypeScript / Node.js, C# .NET, Go  

• Relational databases and NoSQL  

• Microservices and distributed systems  

• Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps tooling  

• Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure  

You don’t need to know everything – what matters most is a solid foundation, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
