We are now looking for experienced and motivated people to join our carbide welding and brazing team.


We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

• Carbide Welder - Level 2 or 3
  We are looking for an experienced Carbide Welder with solid hands-on experience in welding, brazing, and redressing fishing and milling tools.
  The right candidate has experience with carbide applications, understands the importance of quality and precision, and takes pride in delivering work to a high standard.
• Carbide Welder - Level 1
  We are also looking for a motivated candidate with experience from general welding or hot work who wants to learn the specialized craft of carbide welding, brazing, hardfacing, and tool refurbishment.
  This role is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, wants to develop new skills, and is interested in becoming part of a skilled workshop team.

The main tasks will include:

• Redressing and production of casing cutter knives, whipstock mills, and other milling and fishing tools
• Welding, brazing, and hardfacing work according to relevant procedures
• Performing QA/QC in line with Odfjell Technology standards
• Keeping the workshop clean, organized, and safe
• Reporting incidents, unsafe behavior, hazardous conditions, and non-conformities
• Supporting the team with other workshop tasks when needed

Relevant qualifications and experience may include:

• Trade certificate as a welder, relevant welding certifications, or solid practical welding experience
• Experience with carbide welding, brazing, hardfacing, or tool repair is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• Crane operator certificate is an advantage
• Forklift license T1-T4 is an advantage
• For the level 1 role, we do not expect you to know everything from day one. The most important thing is that you have relevant practical experience, a strong willingness to learn, and the right attitude.
