Onix is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team of experts in either our Oslo or Stavanger office.

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be is responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving Onix's cloud platform on Microsoft Azure. The role ensures that the platform is secure, scalable, and reliable, supporting efficient development, stable operations, and continuous technical improvement across all Onix services.
You will be part of the technology function and works closely with development teams, Product Owners, and other technical roles to ensure efficient platform operations and alignment between infrastructure and application needs.

Main responsibilities and tasks
- Operate and maintain the Onix cloud platform on Microsoft Azure
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all environments
- Manage platform configuration, networking, and environment structure (dev/test/prod)
- Monitor platform health and implement alerting and incident handling processes
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for platform-related issues
- Drive continuous improvement through standardization and optimization of platform operations
- Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and improve runtime environments
- Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new technologies within cloud and AI
Qualification
- Relevant higher education, preferably at bachelor's or master's level. Relevant experience may compensate for parts of the educational requirement.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure, including App Services, storage solutions (Blob Storage, File Storage), networking and security, and domain configuration and environment structuring
- Experience with platform operations, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Ability to work systematically with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Strong interest in emerging technologies, particularly within cloud and AI
