Logistics Coordinator
Purpose of Position
The main purpose of the Logistics Coordinator role is to support the Services Manager in the day-to-day activities related to logistics, transport, inventory control and communication with subcontractors and Oil & Gas operators.
The Logistics Coordinator, sitting in Vallourec Stavanger, coordinates movements of OCTG (Casings, Tubings and related accessories) from the four locations (bases) we operate in Norway (Tananger, Mongstad, Kristiansund, Floro).
Role Responsibilities
Responsible for inventory movements in Kabal:
Receive Items according to POD’s in Kabal.
Related to Master Enquiry process.
Modification ticket movements
Kabal/ System21 movements (Location move & Available stock transfer)
Keep Kabal up-to-date for the status of Modification Tickets and Transport/transfer external.
Visual control of receipt of stock prior to entry in Kabal (in Risavika).
Responsibility for participation in Master Enquiry process as per RACI matrix.
Responsible for sending stock orders to all bases.
Responsible for logging POD from all bases.
Responsible for following up Transport tickets
Responsible for booking extra transport as required.
Responsible for assisting in managing emails arriving at logistics email account.
Participate in operational planning meetings with all bases.
Participate in investigation of stock errors, both ad-hoc and resulting from cycle counts.
Participate in stock takes and cycle counts as delegated by Logistics Manager.
Participate in customs declaration process as requested.
All employees in Vallourec Norge are responsible for ensuring all work is performed in compliance with the Company’s QHSE Policies, Procedures and Standards as well as statutory regulations.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Knowledge of Incoterms, logistics and transport, especially within the Oil & Gas industry.
Understanding of OCTG products.
Experience in using Kabal and LogiTrans external system (TIMPEX) is an advantage
Good practice of, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Clear and concise communication.
Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate multiple tasks to meet targets.
Understanding of the Oil & Gas industry players in Norway.
Current and valid driving license is necessary.
Bi-lingual (Norwegian and English minimum).
