We are looking for a Corporate & Commercial Accountant
We are strengthening our finance function and are looking for a Corporate & Commercial Accountant who wants to work closely with the business. This is a key role for someone who thrives at the intersection of accounting, analysis and commercial insight – and who is motivated by contributing to decisions that shape our operations.
About the role
We are looking for a structured and business-oriented Corporate & Commercial Accountant who will play a central role in the company's financial reporting and commercial follow-up.
This is not a pure accounting role. You will work closely with the operational and commercial environment and contribute with insights that influence decisions. The role requires both precision and the ability to see the big picture.
Responsibilities
Among other things, you will:
Be highly involved in quarterly and annual reporting, including commercial and operational results in close collaboration with operational environments
Ensure high quality and compliance in financial reporting to management, authorities and external stakeholders
Follow up and optimize working capital, liquidity and cash flow, including efficient distribution of funds
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS) and tax regulations across jurisdictions
Work closely with auditors in connection with auditing of annual accounts and tax returns.
Be responsible for commercial accounts receivable.
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems and reporting structure, main administrator of accounting system, with increased use of digital tools
Contribute analysis and decision support to commercial and operational functions.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
Master's degree in economics/accounting - relevant experience can compensate for education.
Solid experience in accounting, preferably from shipping or similar international business
Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
Interest in and experience with analysis tools (ERP, Excel, Power BI or equivalent)
Strong analytical ability and high degree of accuracy
Interest in tax, including shipping-related taxation and VAT
Good English skills, both written and oral
