Inspired by the ongoing struggle of women in Iran, particularly in the wake of the Mahsa Amini protests, this work confronts the tension between visibility and control.
The figure is captured at a point of rupture—where restraint gives way to expression. The open mouth becomes both a scream and a declaration: an insistence on presence in a context where visibility can carry profound personal risk.
