Storytelling is nothing more than a binding contract—one that designates me as "the storyteller" and reinforces the story as a tool of control and domination. In contemporary society, storytelling has become one of the most powerful instruments of control, transformed into capital that can be exchanged, priced, and bartered between the storyteller and the one in power—the listener. Here, the listener assumes the role of the customer who, as the saying goes, "is always right." The storyteller, bound by this dynamic, cannot risk disappointing their audience by altering the narrative or tampering with the expectations imposed upon them.

But who, in this relationship, is the true consumer and who is the producer?
The storyteller might believe they are the creator, while the listener is merely the passive recipient. Yet, in reality, the storyteller is the consumer, while the listeners are the producers—manufacturing selves that are compelled to possess stories. These stories, in turn, consume the storytellers, digesting them and vomiting them onto blanked pages.

Scheherazade was never the true author of her stories; it was Shahryar all along. She managed to delay her death through storytelling, yet she never possessed the story.
Scheherazade died on the first night. The next thousand nights were nothing more than a dance upon her grave.
