Nykode Therapeutics is looking for a temporary Laboratory Technician to join our Research Operations team in Oslo.
The position is available from July and will run until the end of March 2027.
The role reports to the Team Manager, In vitro Discovery & Head of Laboratory.

Nykode Therapeutics is seeking a proactive and organized Laboratory Technician to join our team.
About the role
As our Laboratory Technician, you will play a key part in maintaining equipment, supporting scientists, and coordinating logistics and documentation.
You’ll work hands-on in the lab and contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-organized environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor laboratory equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Coordinate orders, deliveries, and inventory of lab supplies and chemicals.
- Perform cleaning and sterilization of equipment and laboratory areas
- Perform routine servicing, calibration, and cleaning of instruments
- Organize sample storage and freezer inventories
- Keep lab inventory, place orders, receive parcels and register lab consumables, reagents, and equipment
- Contributes to registering and maintaining inventory of chemicals, gas, and liquid nitrogen.
- Handle shipment, sample receipt, and related documentation
- Support compliance with safety and quality systems.
- Assist scientists with preparing buffers, reagents and aliquots as needed and general lab support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, biomedical laboratory science, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience can fulfill the educational requirement.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within biotech, pharma, or academic research.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and maintenance routines.
- Familiarity with inventory systems, chemical databases, and logistics coordination.
- Experience working with orders and procurement, maintaining professional collaboration with vendors and suppliers.
- Familiarity with quality systems and laboratory safety is an advantage.
