A very rare vinyl EP of "Primemover," a single by the Swedish band The Leather Nun (also known as Lädernunnan). First released in 1983, this track is considered a classic of the European post-punk and garage rock scenes.
The Band: Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1978, The Leather Nun's style is a provocative blend of garage rock, goth, and industrial music. They gained international cult status after being championed by legendary UK radio DJ John Peel.
The Single: "Primemover" is one of their most recognizable songs, featuring a driving metal-inspired riff and understated vocals.
Release History:
1983: Originally released in the US on Subterranean Records (SUB 40) and in Sweden on Scabri Records.
1984: Released in the UK via Obsession Records (OBS 1).
Versions: It exists as both a 7" and a 12" single.
*This is a rare 7" copy appear as a dark purple translucent color when held up to strong light.
