Team Lead - Electrical Engineering

We are seeking a structured and driven Team Lead – Electrical Engineering to take clear ownership of both people leadership and technical delivery within the electrical discipline.

This role is central to ensuring predictable execution, high engineering quality, and a well-functioning team. You will set direction, create clarity, and enable the team to deliver innovative, reliable, and safe electrical system solutions. The position requires a combination of solid technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, follow up, and develop the electrical engineering team, including competence development, performance follow-up, and clear expectation setting

• Own prioritization, capacity management, and resource planning to ensure predictable delivery across projects

• Establish structure, clarity, and consistency in team workflows, contributing to a stable and efficient engineering environment

• Oversee design, development, and delivery of electrical systems, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with relevant standards

• Review and approve technical documentation, designs, and deliverables

• Act as escalation point for technical capacity, prioritization, and quality-related issues

• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, including standardization, modularization, and reuse of solutions

• Collaborate closely with other disciplines to ensure effective cross-functional execution

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field

• Solid experience from electrical engineering roles within industrial, automation, energy, or product-development environments

• Previous experience as a team leader, technical lead, or similar leadership role

• Strong knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and engineering methodologies

• Proficiency with electrical design tools (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, E3 or similar)

• Structured, solution-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills and the ability to create clarity and engagement

• Proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from multidisciplinary engineering environments

• Familiarity with project-based delivery models

• Background in system integration, power electronics, automation, or control systems

• Familiar with industrial/electrical standards and regulations (IEC, NEK, DNV, BV)
