Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Norway AS services the Norwegian market with high performance sealing solutions. We are expanding our team and are now looking for an Application & Quality Engineer with a technical background and commercial interest, preferably in sealing technologies.

Job Description

• Analyze our customer’s application requirements and present the most suitable sealing solutions for respective application.

• Be a link between our customers and our product engineering departments, both regarding existing- and new products.

• Provide technical advice and support to our customers.

• Hold sales presentations/ technical trainings and demonstrations to our customers in cooperation with responsible Account Manager

• Monitor and provide information about Trelleborg Sealing Solutions new product- or service releases to our internal departments and customers.

• Present market trends and requirements from the different segments to our R&D- and engineering departments.

• Search to constantly update our quality assurance system

• Responsible for handling claims, tracking and implementing follow-up actions

• Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• A pro-active person with technical/quality understanding and interest, acquired from studies, work experience or both with knowledge and understanding why a good quality assurance system is needed 

• Experience with design and product development process

• Understanding of industry standards

• Good communication- and cooperation skills across interdisciplinary departments

• Experience with seals and hydraulic/pneumatic systems preferably within oil & gas/energy, fluid power, automotive or marine applications

• Understanding in FEA is preferable

• Familiar with ISO standards

• Trelleborg Sealing Solutions continuously develop new apps/ tools and programs to support our customers, so a generally good understanding and interest in new programs is preferred. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and a CRM/ERP tool is requested.

• Written and spoken language skills in English and one of the Scandinavian languages.
