Vintage Hi-Fi Repair & Service
I offer repair, servicing, and restoration of vintage audio equipment from the 1970s–1990s.
This is a small personal workshop focused on classic hi-fi equipment. Work is carried out carefully with the aim of maintaining the original circuit design while improving reliability where required.
Services offered include:
• Receiver and amplifier servicing
• Replacement of electrolytic capacitors (recapping)
• Tape deck servicing and belt replacement
• CD player repair and mechanical service
• Cleaning of switches, potentiometers, and controls
• Mechanical cleaning and lubrication
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
Typical equipment I work on includes:
• Stereo receivers and amplifiers
• Cassette decks
• CD players
• Vintage tuners
Brands often worked on include Technics, Sony, Tandberg, Pioneer and similar vintage equipment.
Important information:
Units can be sent to me by post for inspection.
When I receive the equipment I will first examine the unit and diagnose the fault.
I will then provide a repair estimate before any work is carried out.
No repairs are performed without customer approval.
Return shipping is paid by the customer.
Please ensure equipment is packed carefully for transport.
