The Pokemon Celebrations set is a special expansion set in the Sword & Shield Series released on the 25th anniversary of the trading card game. There are two subsets that make up the Celebrations set… a 25 card base set and a 25 card reprint set they’re calling the “Classic Collection”.
Cards in the base set have their own set symbol and are numbered 001 through 025, while cards in the classic collection have their original card numbers and set symbols. The Classic Collection is comprised of reprints of famous and valuable cards from the past. The reprints in the Classic Collection are easy to identify by the big yellow 25th anniversary logo next to the character window.

The Sun & Moon Detective Pikachu set was released on March 29, 2019. It’s a sub-set released a few months ahead of the upcoming 3D movie of the same name “Detective Pikachu”. As a sub-set it only contains 18 cards and no secret rares. Detective Pikachu cards will be sold in various “Case File” sets containing promo cards, coins, and booster packs… I don’t think you can even buy individual booster packs. The booster packs we got only contained 4 cards!!! The cards are cool though… check out the end of the article where we unbox a Detective Pikachu “Collector Treasure Chest”…aka Lunch Box.
