Strategic, Forward‑Thinking Finance Leader for a Key Global Role
About the position

As Director Finance, you will play a key role in enabling this by combining fact‑based financial leadership, transparency, and long‑term value creation.
We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Finance Director to serve as a trusted advisor and financial partner to the Executive Vice President and the Business Area Leadership Team. The role drives financial performance, shapes strategy, and leads a global Finance & Controlling organization to support profitable growth and operational excellence.
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of the Business Area, the Finance Director is a member of the Business Area Leadership Team and works closely with the Group Finance Leadership Team. The role is responsible for developing and executing financial strategies that strengthen the Business Area’s financial position, profitability, and long‑term performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
Act as the financial sparring partner and trusted advisor to the Executive Vice President and the Business Area Leadership Team, promoting accountability, ownership, and fact‑based decision‑making.
Develop, execute, and continuously refine the Business Area’s financial strategy, strategic goals, annual budgets, and long‑range plans in support of long‑term value creation and profit potential.
Proactively drive business performance by providing financial insights, analysis, and clear actions to improve results.
Financial Management & Reporting
Provide transparent, timely, and accurate financial information to support effective leadership decisions and governance.
Lead forecasting, monthly variance analysis, performance reporting, and consolidation of Business Area financial results with a strong result‑oriented approach.
Manage CAPEX planning, prioritization, and approval processes to ensure optimal capital allocation.
Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and corporate requirements.
Ensure robust documentation and governance of critical accounting topics, including onerous contracts and restructuring initiatives.
Business Partnership & Profitability
Partner closely with operational and commercial leaders to drive internal cost efficiency, operational excellence, and sustainable profitability.
Strengthen cost accounting, plant controlling, and financial processes to improve transparency, scalability, and efficiency.
Support strategic initiatives related to footprint optimization, make‑buy decisions, and continuous improvement programs.
Translate financial and operational data into clear insights and dashboards that enable data‑driven, market‑focused decision‑making.
Team Leadership & Culture
Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing global Finance & Controlling organization.
Build a culture of collaboration, respect, accountability, and relentless continuous improvement.
Recruit, coach, and mentor finance professionals, ensuring strong capabilities and long‑term succession.
Requirements
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Solid experience of finance leadership in global, complex organizations, preferably within the automotive or industrial sector.
Strong background in financial management, including cost accounting, plant operations, financial planning, and performance management.
Solid expertise in IFRS reporting, financial modeling, budgeting, and long‑range business planning.
Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies that improve profitability, cost efficiency, and performance.
Strong analytical, fact‑based, and entrepreneurial mindset with excellent problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated leadership capability with experience building and leading high‑performing teams in an international environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
