As Atea continues to grow and develop its security services and customer portfolio, we are now opening an internal opportunity for a Cyber Security Manager. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move closer to customers, strategy, and advisory work while still working deeply with IT and information security.

- Location: Trondheim or Drammen
- Work model: Hybrid (office and home office)
- Travel: Low (approximately 1–2 trips per year)

About the role
The Cyber Security Manager is a senior, advisory IT security role working with information and IT security in a structured, risk‑based approach.
You will help ensure that security is maintained and continuously improved in line with Atea policies, security standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role is not operational, but focuses on coordination, risk management, communication, and advisory work.
You will work closely with:
- Customers and decision-makers
- Internal delivery and operations teams
- Sales and bid management
- Security and compliance stakeholders across Atea
This role offers significant trust, autonomy, and influence.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the overall security strategy for Atea and our customers
- Work with vulnerability management and security mitigations
- Identify, assess, and reduce security risks
- Monitor developments in the security threat landscape
- Communicate with customers to strengthen their overall security posture
- Ensure compliance with security regulations and standards
- Contribute to security awareness and education
- Support sales and bid processes with security expertise (RFI/RFP)
- Prepare and facilitate internal and external security audits
- Participate in security incident handling when needed
The work involves interconnected tasks, often over longer timeframes, combining structure, routine, and complex problem‑solving.

This role is well suited for someone who already has a solid technical foundation and wants to grow into a more advisory, coordinating, and customer‑facing position.
We believe you have:
- Strong knowledge of IT and information security
- Experience with ISO 27001 or similar security frameworks
- The ability to assess and explain risks and vulnerabilities
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Fluency in Norwegian and good English skills
It is a plus if you also have:
- Knowledge of ITIL or other operations frameworks
- Experience from consulting, advisory, or customer‑facing roles
- Experience with audits and regulatory requirements
