Helly Hansen is looking for a Digital Designer who can bring our performance gear to life across digital touchpoints. This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling and performance marketing, creating scalable content that inspires trust, drives action, and reflects our heritage in professional outdoor performance.
You will design and produce content for paid social, ecommerce, and email, working across video and static formats to support the full marketing funnel. You balance performance objectives with Helly Hansen’s premium, functional aesthetic, ensuring every asset communicates product value clearly and credibly.
Core Responsibilities
- Concept development
Collaborate with copywriters, brand, and channel leads to develop concepts and visual treatments that support campaign objectives while remaining true to Helly Hansen’s identity, values, and technical credibility. - Design system thinking
Translate briefs and product stories into modular design systems that support different funnel stages and scale across digital channels, formats, and campaign phases. - Design and asset craft
Bring strong visual judgement and creativity to editing and layout design, crafting motion and static content where composition, typography, product callouts, and sound work effectively together. - Testing and iteration
Create multiple creative variations to support testing strategies through rational/emotional hooks, photo/video curration, and visual treatments based on briefs and performance insights. - Performance focused content creation
Produce high quality video and static assets for paid social, ecommerce, and email, using platform specific best practices to maximize engagement and conversion. - Quality assurance
Ensure all work meets high standards of visual design, brand consistency, and technical accuracy. Review assets across formats and channels to maintain quality, clarity, and correctness prior to launch. Prepare, export, and deliver final files according to channel specifications and production requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced design and motion production skills
Deep understanding of typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchy across motion and static environments. Advanced motion design, video, and sound production skills, with the ability to lead projects from concept development through post-production and final export. - Multiformat design expertise
Strong command of design tools and platforms, including After Effects, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Canva, enabling the creation and delivery of end-to-end digital content. - Performance marketing literacy
Understanding of user journeys, funnel stages, and platform behaviors, with the ability to design content that supports awareness, consideration, and conversion. - AI enabled workflows
Comfortable using AI tools for ideation, editing, variation generation, and production acceleration while maintaining creative quality. - Brand sensitivity
An eye for detail and restraint, balancing bold performance messaging with Helly Hansen’s clean, functional, and trusted design language. - Communication and stakeholder collaboration
Strong communication skills in English. Able to collaborate and present work clearly, navigate feedback constructively, and contribute to a shared creative direction in a fast-paced environment.
