This pen is a bit special. Wagner’s 2024 pen. The pen is from Danwa (a fountain pen clinic organized by the founder of Wagner, Japan’s famous fountain pen group), Mr. Mutsumi Mori. The pen is called the Lady Dragon. This particular nib is a Platinum President Coarse (double broad), and has been ground by the nibmeister Yukio Nagahara to a Nagahari Fine (NF) nib. He usually calls this grind Kodachi. It is a naginata togi style. The nib performs similar to an architect grind, with broad side strokes and thin downstrokes. But with the added feature that the line width can also be adjusted by increasing the writing angle, similar to Sailor’s zoom nib. It has only been dip-tested and presents as new.
