We are now looking for a Facility Technician at our data center in Vennesla to take care of the day-to-day operational tasks. 

Our site in Vennesla is growing, and with more buildings and customers, we need a new Facility Technician resource to strengthen the team. In this role, you will take full responsibility for the practical, on-site work at the data center. While the Facility Manager focuses on planning and administration, you will be the one making sure things are done, fixed, maintained, and followed up in daily operations. You will work closely with vendors and support a Facility Technician Trainee. No days will be the same in the Facility Technician role. 

What you’ll do: 

As our Facility Technician, your key responsibilities will be: 

• Perform hands-on facility work and basic maintenance of buildings and non-critical systems. 

• Take care of outdoor and janitorial tasks such as snow removal, gardening, and waste handling. 

• Carry out daily and weekly inspections, checklists, and facility rounds. 

• Support warehouse and logistics tasks, including receiving and moving goods. 

• Install and maintain different types of infrastructure on site. 

• Fix issues when they arise and know when to escalate. 

• Work side by side with vendors on cleaning, waste, pest control, etc. 

• Support and mentor our Facility Technician Trainee. 

Who are you? 

You are a practical, multi-skilled person who enjoys getting things done. In this role, we don’t need a specialist in one trade, what matters most is that you have broad experience, common sense, and the confidence to handle different tasks. You work well on your own and take pride in doing a proper job. You are comfortable working in a team and in an environment where safety and reliability matter. Data center experience is not required - we will teach you that part. 

What you bring: 

• At least 5 years of experience in a practical line of work.  

• Vocational diploma or trade certificate. 

• Basic mechanical understanding. 

• Safety-focused and reliable. 

• Comfortable working under pressure when needed. 

• Good collaboration skills across different teams. 

• Driver’s license Class B. 

• License C, forklift or wheel loader experience is a plus (not a requirement). 

• Basic English skills are sufficient. 

• Physically fit for practical work.
