Jeg siterer mannen jeg kjøpte av for 5 til 6 år siden: "Selger en passiv forforsterker som fungerer svært godt mellom en f.eks. CD-spiller og effektforsterker. [SELGER 2026: Det har også vært min bruk -- mellom CD-spiller og en XTZ Edge effektforsterker.] Dette er signatur versjonen med signature (Caddock) motstander. Man må høyt opp I pris for å finne noe som er like bra. Kjøper betaler evt. frakt og prisen er ferdig prutet.
"The AXIOM II passive preamplifier is in a class by itself. This is a fixed series/variable shunt device. In layman's terms this means the audio signal does not actually flow through the volume control. The signal flows through one high quality resistor and the amplifier's inputs are shunted to ground via the AXIOM II'S ALPS potentiometer. The variable shunt technology allows control over the volume without the signal flowing through the actual volume pot that most audiophiles know is the weakest link in most preamp circuits. The degree in which the pot "allows" signal into the amplifier is simply what allows the customer control over his/her volume.
A large part of the magic of the little AXIOM II is its single input. We use no switching network whatsoever in the standard version. A multi-in version is available upon request. Most critical listening is done on CD playback so why not shoot for the ultimate in clarity. We have chosen to use very high quality parts in the AXION II given its whopping retail price. High quality "long barrel" RCA jacks have been custom made for us. A smooth ALPS "blue pot" was chosen for long life, excellent tracking and a concern for cost vs. value. We are using the same 4/9's silver wire found in our famed SYNCHESTRA interconnects. We are allowing our customers to choose between the standard HOLCO resistor and the upgraded CADDOCK version. The CADDOCKS are simply the best we have heard in this circuit. The CADDOCKS offer considerably more detail than the HOLCO but for many applications the HOLCO will work very well.""

Fra selger 2026: Jeg har brukt denne på hytta, og det fungerte bare sånn passe. Strømmen der kom fra batteri, så anlegget kunne ikke stå på, og temperaturen der det stod, var nok ikke all verden. Jeg opplevde spraking når jeg skrudde på volumkontrollen. Jeg tipper dette forsvinner. DU FÅR LEVERE DEN TILBAKE DERSOM DU MENER DET ER NOE GALT MED DEN. Jeg har lenge hatt som mål å ta den i bruk litt hjemme selv, men det har aldri blitt noe av.
