Shape group-wide improvement through insight, technology and collaboration
Nammo is strengthening its efforts within operational excellence and is looking for a new Operational Excellence Manager with a focus on program management, coordination, and group-wide improvement work. In this role, you will work closely with business units across the company to support and coordinate improvement initiatives, and to ensure that best practices are aligned, followed up, and developed across sites and countries.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys creating structure and coherence at group level, by connecting initiatives, supporting project owners, and strengthening how improvement efforts are planned and managed over time. You’ll be part of a small corporate team that supports operational excellence across the Nammo Group, and you will play a key role in developing a shared approach to performance improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
You will collaborate with business units and sites in a supportive and advisory role, with a strong emphasis on developing people and capabilities, within the following areas:
Follow-up of the operational technology program
Support and facilitate knowledge sharing, with a focus on the operational technology program
Ensure knowledge development, with focus on the operational technology program: Develop guidelines and principles and support local development and execution of training, and develop and execute selected companywide training programs
Enhance KPIs: Collaborate with business units and sites to support the development and improvement of KPIs aligned with strategic objectives and operational standards, including related organizational aspects
Assessment: Develop assessments and related competency, and audit site self-assessments to ensure compliance with operational standards and best practices
Benchmarking: Develop benchmarks by analyzing data from industry peers and internal metrics, setting standards for evaluating operational efficiency and effectiveness
Define Common Processes and Best Practices: Lead the development and standardization of operational processes and best practices organization-wide. Utilize industry benchmarks, internal data, and continuous improvement efforts to create operational guidelines
Provide hands-on support for improvement initiatives at local sites
Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a structured mindset and a genuine interest in operational improvement. You don’t need to be an expert or a senior profile — we value curiosity, learning ability, and a collaborative mindset. You should be confident working with data, comfortable navigating complex organizations, and able to support others. You may have experience with Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement, or you may bring project, production or IT experience from an industrial setting.
We prefer that you have:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or operations preferred. Extensive relevant experience may substitute for a formal degree
Experience from working in an industrial company
Proven experience in operational excellence, including Lean and Six Sigma, is highly valuable
Experience with applications related to OEE, MES, and IoT
Strong verbal and written communication skills; English is the working language
It is beneficial with experience within some of these areas:
Management positions within areas such as production, maintenance, projects and product development
The use of Microsoft applications, including PowerBI
The use of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or other analytical ways of handling big data
