Do you have accounting experience and want to be a part of a global company in a growing position?
Orkla Health is seeking to expand and enhance our Finance department at our headquarters with a Financial Controlling Manager.
As the Financial Controlling Manager at Orkla Health, you will report to Head of Accounting and play a vital role to the accounting function and in further developing accounting processes and systems across our portfolio companies and business units. You must bring solid expertise and a genuine interest in accounting, which you are eager to share with others. You will be the company's expert resource for questions and issues related to accounting and finance.
Responsibilities of the Financial Controlling Manager include:
* Developing finance/accounting processes, reporting standards and policies, and ensuring compliance as well as proper documentation for all our legal entities and business units
* Consolidate the group's accounts on a monthly basis, as well as oversee the financial reporting process and ensure quality
* Be expert and sparring partner within the group for accounting and IFRS topics
* Be key driver for continuous evaluation of procedures and routines, streamline processes, utilize new technologies and drive common ways of working across all our legal entities and business units
* Support group audit processes and provide audit support as well as preparing or reviewing annual financial statements
* Be contact point towards Shared Service Center, ensure quality in deliveries and drive standardizations where relevant
* Support bookkeeping and follow-up of the Orkla Health Holding (parent) company
What qualifications do you need?
As the Financial Controlling Manager at Orkla Health, you are a confident sparring partner and effective communicator on accounting topics within the group. You are interested in acquiring new knowledge and further developing expertise and business understanding. Additionally, we expect:
* 5-7 years of hands-on financial accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years as an accounting director or manager in a larger company - or experience in auditing
* Strong knowledge of technical accounting and financial best practices, hereunder IFRS
* Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office is required
* Experience working with ERP and other IT systems, SAP experience is an advantage, Tagetik knowledge is a plus
* A master's degree in audit, accounting, or finance is strongly preferred, but a relevant bachelor's degree with substantial experience may suffice
* Communication skills, both verbal and written, in English is required. Scandinavian language skills are strongly preferred
Department and Colleagues:
As Financial Controlling Manager at Orkla Health you will play a vital role in accounting policies, year-end closing, as well as following up on the portfolio companies on relevant accounting topics including tax, pensions etc., and you will be part of the Orkla Health central Finance team. The Orkla Health finance team mainly operates from the headquarters in Oslo but is flexible with home office. You will be part of a diverse community of colleagues with expertise in various business areas, fostering a pleasant environment where you can expand your skills.
