WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
You will be joining the global PWR-T Lean Leader network, initially representing Installation.
Our team is responsible for driving the Lean implementation within PWR-T. You will work together with your functional sponsor, initially VP of Installation, and with the PWR-T Executive Committee to develop a culture of Lean within your organization and to identify and drive opportunities to improve quality, predictability, and simplification within the daily work of the organization. The workplace can be any PWR-T office among Oslo, Paris, Nantes, Edinburgh, with a preference for Oslo with potential requirement for significant travel, and you will be reporting to the Senior Transformation Project Manager accountable for Lean Implementation in PWR-Transmission
GETTING A FLYING START
To succeed as a Lean Leader in PWR-T, you bring a proven track record of driving change to achieve measurable business impact. You are comfortable with working directly with senior leaders in the organization and securing active engagement from colleagues. You’ve led initiatives in project-driven environments that enhance quality, predictability, and efficiency. With a structured approach to problem-solving and hands-on experience coaching individuals and teams, you are a natural change agent and trusted transformation partner. Experience in operational excellence through Lean or Six Sigma—such as Value Stream Mapping, variation reduction, and Kaizen—is a strong asset.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
You will work across functional teams, driving simplification and continuous improvement within PWR-T operations. To do this, you will lead Lean activities such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen workshops, and development of Standard Management Routines. With your structured problem-solving skills and coaching mindset, you will help teams achieve greater quality, predictability, and efficiency. You will also contribute to help shape the Lean management system within PWR-T. You will drive impact in the four pillars of the transformation; Quality, On Time, One Team, and Focus.
YOUR STARTING POINT
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or operations
5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in execution of EPCI projects
Experience with applying Lean or Six Sigma in operations, particularly within projects
Strong analytical and structured problem solving skills are key for success.
In Nexans we work in teams and are driven by project execution therefore being able to work directly with senior managers and being able to align and influence colleagues is of upmost importance.
Strong team leadership and facilitation skills are essential.
In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you have experience in Operational Excellence frameworks including Lean and Six Sigma
Fluent in English, – oral and written, Norwegian or French is a plus
