Martin tubular tenor trombone, Urbie Green model. 7-3/4 inch yellow brass bell. 12.70mm (500") slide bore. Nickel slide outer. Clear lacquer finish. Accessories: Newer Conn case. Manufactured around 2000.
The TR4501, which began reproduction production in the 1970s (production ended around 2011), is based on the Martin trombone that Urbie Green, a master trombone player of the swing jazz era, mainly used in the 1950s. There is no balancer in the main pipe, giving a light and flexible playing feel. You can feel that it was perfect for his playing style, who was also a master of the plunger mute. This model has an attractive elegant brightness even when opened without muting
