Er du en utfordrer som ønsker å forme fremtiden innen kredittrisiko?
At Bank Norwegian and Nordax Bank, we believe in simplicity, transparency, and technology-driven innovation. As part of NOBA Bank Group, we offer consumer loans, credit cards, savings accounts and insurance – all made available through cutting-edge technology, automation, and seamless self-service platforms. With over 2 million customers across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, and Spain, we’re proud to be part of the largest independent specialist consumer finance lender in the Nordics – and we’re just getting started.
Whether you're located in Oslo (Fornebu) or Stockholm (Gävlegatan 22), this is an opportunity to join a bank that is growing fast and shaping the future of consumer finance in Europe.
Our Credit & Analytics department is known for being the most forward-thinking in the Nordics, made up of talents from across the globe. Within this department, the Credit Underwriting & Decision Analytics unit focuses on continuously improving our automated underwriting processes and monitoring risk performance.
As our credit card portfolios across the Nordics grow in both size and complexity, we’re now looking for a Credit Card (CC) Risk Manager to join us on this exciting journey and help influence our future solutions. Credit underwriting is within the absolute core for a bank operating within unsecured lending. Working and coordinating with stakeholders from multiple departments are essential, and internally we simply refer to this role as having the day-to-day responsibility for “running the bank”.
What you’ll be doing
Having responsibility for CC portfolios from a credit analytics perspective
Continuously analyze the portfolios to identify underwriting opportunities that drive smarter decisions
Lead and coordinate cross-functional CC initiatives to improve underwriting strategies in close cooperation with key stakeholders
Support strategic growth initiatives by conducting deep-dive analyses
Contribute to model validation processes and ensure compliance with internal standards
Identify untapped data opportunities and turn them into actionable insights
Leverage your expertise in credit card business processes to refine and optimize customer experience
Collaborate on other tasks within Credit Underwriting & Decision Analytics to support our continuous improvement journey
What we’re looking for
Minimum 4 – 5 years’ experience working with credit risk (preferably within the Nordic countries or Germany)
Minimum 2 years’ experience with SQL programming
Fluency in English (Scandinavian language skills is a plus)
Strong communication skills – ability to explain complex findings in an understandable way
A degree in quantitative field (Economics, Statistics, Data Science or similar)
Nice to have:
Working experience from using analytical tools such R, Python, SAS or Stata
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Databricks)
Who you are
Knowing it’s a lot to ask for, but if you are creative, curious and have strong analytical skills at the same time, we think you could make a huge impact on our business. You are eager to use data and willing to challenge and improve existing methods. You enjoy both working independently and collaborating closely with others. You have a strong work ethic and a passion for achieving outstanding results, always pushing yourself to exceed expectations.
What we offer!
A dynamic, international and tech-driven workplace
Significant responsibility and management exposure as a CC Risk Manager
Great collaboration with experienced and supportive colleagues
Competitive salary and benefits
Flexible working hours and hybrid setup
The opportunity to work with the best in the consumer finance industry
A flat and informal organization with a startup mentality — but with the stability of an established bank
