Hova W Michelin is an everyday lifestyle chelsea boot from IceBug. Intended for the cold months of the year, these shoes are equipped with 200 g/m2 Primaloft Bio insulation, which keeps the feet warm. The wide profile creates a comfortable feeling on long walks.
The outer material is made of DriTan oiled nubuck leather, equipped with a water-repellent finish without the use of PFCs (per-fluoro compounds), and for maximum weather protection IceBug have includes the BUGdri waterproof membrane an IceBug brand patent.
A trademark of IceBug are the outsoles with exceptional grip, in Hova they rely on a Michelin rubber substance. Developed in collaboration with MICHELIN Technical Soles, it uses ICE Control technology offering very good traction even at very low temperatures of -30°C on snow and ice. The tread pattern of the outsole is based on the legendary MICHELIN X-Ice Xi3 winter tire, with Cross Z Sipes that provide traction on ice and wide grooves for excellent water evacuation and flexibility. The midsole is EVA, and since EVA foam is difficult to recycle, 20% is replaced by the so-called BLOOM foam, obtained from algae, harmful to the oceans, but allowing the production of foam with the same properties of shock absorption and lightness as EVA.
The model includes Woolpower recycled merino wool, which realizes optimal thermoregulation of the foot.
