The PLX3602 power amplifier is ideal for applications that require driving up to four speakers per channel at a 2-ohm load, or for situations where very high output is needed in bridged mono mode. It includes integrated subwoofer processing, selectable filters, and clear front-panel indicators that show when the amplifier is operating in bridged mono.
Designed with both durability and aesthetics in mind, the PLX3602 features a rugged cast-aluminum front panel that not only gives a professional look in any rack but also functions as a structural I-beam, reinforcing the chassis for long-term reliability on the road.
Thoughtful mechanical details—such as reinforced side rails, rear rack ears, and built-in cable tie points—highlight QSC’s extensive experience and meticulous design approach. Even the front handles are engineered to allow smooth rack installation without scraping your hands against the rack rails.
QSC’s PowerLight switchmode power supply replaces the traditional, bulky AC transformer—often weighing around 20 pounds—with a far more efficient and lightweight active design. While conventional transformers deliver only 100 to 120 power pulses per second, the PowerLight supply operates at an impressive 190,000 to 230,000 pulses per second. This high pulse rate allows the amplifier to respond instantly to power demands, preventing voltage sag and ensuring tight, powerful bass along with clear, detailed highs.
The PLX2 power amplifier circuitry delivers sound quality typically expected from high-end studio reference amplifiers. Precision bias tracking continuously compensates for temperature changes, minimizing crossover distortion. The result is cleaner high frequencies and consistent, reliable audio performance—even when the amplifier is pushed hard.
