Are you ready to contribute to developing a world-class energy portfolio? Skuld is seeking a Senior Energy Underwriter to join our Energy team in Oslo.

In this role, you will own and grow your own portfolio of energy accounts, focusing on H&M insurance packages for Operators and Contractors, including mobile offshore units and fixed offshore installations, and marine and subsea equipment. We are seeking an individual who thrives at building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering the best solutions in a rapidly evolving market.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Energy Underwriter, you will:

• Contribute to growth by actively seeking new business opportunities and promoting Skuld’s products to members, clients, and brokers.
• Be responsible for your own portfolio and manage all aspects of underwriting, from drafting quotations to handling renewals.
• Create solutions by assessing risks and delivering tailored insurance programs.
• Stay updated by monitoring market trends and sharing insights internally and with our stakeholders.
• Collaborate and lead—support colleagues and contribute to a culture of excellence.
• Work in compliance with Skuld’s current policies, instructions and guidelines

What We’re Looking For

• Higher education and at least 7 years of relevant work experience within the energy sector, ideally involved with upstream energy and/or offshore renewables insurance.
• A proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor more junior colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills in English - both written and verbal.
• Confidence in presenting and engaging with both members, clients, brokers, and internal Skuld teams.
