Beskrivelse av varen
Tilstand: Pent brukt - I god stand
I have built this case last winter and never thought I would offer it for sale, but my setup is outgrowing my cases quickly and I have just finished building an even bigger one 😅
I have made it with oak front and back, cnc-milled aluminium sides and bottom, elsa metal hinges, adam hall rubber feet and rubber-covered steel handle.
It’s rather skiff but top rows on each half offer greater depth. I can provide exact specs if needed.
It was designed for Konstant Lab Hammer PWR* system, which I am keeping so unfortunately it is offered unpowered. However I am offering it with external 4-pin XLR cable and sockets to route power to top half and Konstant Lab DC port in. To those interested I can also sell matching Meanwell 120W PSU.
*Since Konstant Lab busboards are a tiny bit longer than the inside of the case their ends need to be sanded down to fit. I have customized mine without trouble. This modification doesn’t affect performance of the bus boards in any way as it is only excess material available at each end of a bus board that is being sanded down.
Last picture showcases the case with Hammer PWR in place.
Front panel (with handle) doesn’t have latches to keep the case locked/closed so that’s something for future owner to add. However it has middle side panels that screw into M5 threads that allow to close off the case from dust etc. If you lift case by handle with middle-side panels in place they do keep it closed but if it is full with modules it will give a tiny bit, leaving a gap.
Case can be closed with all patch cables in place. Unless you are using some special patch cables which require extra space. I am using tendrils both straight and angled and never had issues.
Even though the case has been designed to be portable and fits small cabin bag dimensions (40x30x20cm), I would say it works best as desktop case kept open with supports screwed in place and only closed for traveling when needed. Screwing and unscrewing supports isn’t as easy as regular lid-stays would be to keep the lid open.
Material costs:
1500,- Taisen eurorack rails from AliExpress
