WHO ARE YOU?

• Strong strategic thinker with a structuring ability to turn complex challenges into clear recommendations. Minimum 3 to 5 years of working ideally in management consulting, business/product strategy, or strategic business development.
• Solid with business and financial acumen, able to assess P&L drivers and build well-grounded business cases.
• Analytical mind skilled in market and competitive insight, able to turn insight into clear opportunities or risks.
• Experienced in leading projects end-to-end, collaborating closely with product, tech, sales, finance, marketing, and other teams to align and deliver.
• Clear communicator and storyteller, forming solid recommendations and presentations for different audiences, including the Jobs management team, ELT, and board.

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?

As Senior Strategy Manager, you join the Jobs strategy team, whose mission is to shape direction for the vertical and ensure clarity on strategic key topics. Your week can include framing strategic questions, analysing market, competitive, or performance trends, building business cases, preparing material for leadership discussions, or working with different teams and stakeholders on a variety of projects.

You work with topics such as shaping the overall vertical strategy, AI and disruption, long term monetisation, sustainability, M&A and market insight, and follow progress through business reviews. You may lead some initiatives and contribute to others.

Your main stakeholders include the Jobs management team, product and tech, sales, finance, marketing, and many central Vend teams such as the central strategy team and the M&A team. Success in the role means being a trusted partner that brings clarity and structure to important questions, but also drives alignment and follows up on progress.

This creates ambiguity and a need for clarity and structure as we go, while not compromising on shorter-term performance.
