The Re-Fuse has been an integral part of the MAXXIS road tire series for two decades now, and over the years it has made a real name for itself thanks to its above-average durability. The revised Re-Fuse is characterized by a new tread pattern, a revised rubber compound and improved puncture protection. These optimizations make the tire faster, lighter and more durable than ever before. The Re-Fuse remains the preferred choice for long distances. Nevertheless, its improvements provide a sportier riding experience. The smooth center tread replaces the full diamond knob tread on the new Re-Fuse, minimizing rolling resistance. The micro studs on the sides still offer secure grip in bends.
Tube Type
A tube type tire is specially designed for use with a tube and must not be ridden tubeless.
MaxxShield (MS)
MaxxShield is the ultimate in puncture protection. It combines SilkShield all-round protection with our K2 Layer (Kevlar Composite).
Silica
The tire has a full silica rubber compound that drastically reduces rolling resistance and at the same time improves grip in wet conditions. These properties allow it to be used as an all-season tire.
