For sale: 2x unique Apple iPod Classic 5th gen (often referred to as the "iPod Video"), refurbished: both units feature brand new batteries and new custom exteriors. Advertised price is per piece, incl. 30-pin charging and syncing cable!
The fronts are custom made by spraying the inside of transparent faceplates with paint specifically designed for polycarbonates. A sparkle effect is achieved by applying different layers. The result is difficult to capture in pictures, but really pops under direct sunlight! The black iPod looks like a starry night sky, while the white iPod is more subtle and reminds me of a snowy landscape. I've not seen anyone else do this and the result is truly unique. The paint is applied to the inside so will not wear off. Best seen in person!
The iPods also feature new chrome backs and brand new batteries. These devices are 20 years old and all original batteries are (close to) death by now, the new batteries ensure good battery life. Otherwise these iPods are original, featuring two 30GB hard drives in good health with 0 reallocated sectors. There's some light surface scratches on the fronts (from handling while painting and testing), otherwise these iPods appear close to new. Thoroughly tested: both work entirely as expected!
