Jefferson Wells is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced consultant within Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (SCM). This is a 6-month assignment with a strong focus on cost reduction and procurement optimization. Experience in strategic sourcing and digitalization of purchasing processes will be highly valued.
Tasks and Responsibilities

• Participate in ongoing cost-reduction initiatives across active projects.
• Execute rapid negotiations and support contract management.
• Conduct procurement activities in collaboration with project and purchasing teams.
• Perform cost analyses and identify savings opportunities.
• Consolidate supplier base and bundle volumes and categories.
• Benchmark suppliers to identify improvement potential and competitive pricing.
• Assess and recommend digital tools to streamline and automate procurement processes.
• Prepare documentation and reports on savings, supplier status, and contract follow-up.

Background and Qualifications

• Solid experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, preferably within technical industries.
• Proven track record of cost-saving initiatives and strategic sourcing.
• Hands-on experience with contract negotiations, supplier management, and category leadership.
• Familiarity with digitalization of procurement processes and implementation of relevant tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Availability to work on-site at the client’s office in Skien at least 3 days per week.
