The X-Rack is an excellent, cost-effective and hugely flexible way of bringing SSL's large console technology into smaller studio setups, and because it is a modular system you can pick and choose the best combination of modules for your needs. Sound quality is as impressive as you would expect, and a stand-out feature is the Total Recall system, which allows you to store settings and back them up to a computer (albeit as MIDI SysEx dumps), not to mention linking the X-Rack with SSL's AWS900 console.
