Interested in the ocean, innovative technology and fish welfare?
Make a difference where it counts. On the water, with your sealegs.
Do you feel most at home when you are out on the water? Do you believe that we can use technology to treat fish with greater care? Are you ready to step into an exciting role with a growing company?
At Sensor Globe we are developing the first fish movement optimization platform. With a combination of uniquely designed sensors and advanced software we are providing farmers with real time intelligence on critical processes, we are now looking for someone to be the heart of our operations. The person who takes our technology out of the box and makes it work in the real world, alongside leading fish farming companies.
If you want a job that mixes fresh sea air with cutting-edge tech, this is for you.
What you will do
You will be our expert in the field, serving as the bridge between our technology and the farmers using it. Your primary goal is to ensure customers get the critical data they need to keep their fish healthy and safe.
Be our expert on the water: You will lead hands-on deployments at pens and barges, training farm teams and monitoring live data streams. Your presence ensures systems are set up correctly, and you will provide immediate, on-site advice based on data trends to improve welfare and reduce risk.
Take pride in the gear: You take full ownership of the hardware lifecycle, from calibration and testing to logistics and inventory management. You are responsible for maintenance and upgrades, ensuring every device is documented, reliable, and ready to perform in demanding conditions.
Coordinate the mission: You orchestrate the planning and execution of deployments across regions. You oversee the entire workflow, coordinating resources and troubleshooting issues to ensure every mission is safe and successful.
Shape the future: You translate real-world operational challenges into clear engineering improvements. By building scalable playbooks and sharing farm-level insights, you help us refine workflows and design the next generation of welfare monitoring tools.
Who you are
We are looking for someone with sea legs and a warm heart. Most important is not where you live, but...
What you (hopefully) bring to the team
2 to 5+ years of experience in salmon farming or aquaculture
Real comfort working on pens, barges, wellboats, or land-based facilities
A knack for technology, sensors, and troubleshooting
A driver’s license and a love for traveling the coast
Fluency in both Norwegian and English
An independent, proactive, and organized mindset
It is a bonus if you have
Experience maintaining technical equipment in rough weather
Familiarity with software platforms
A background in startups
A home base in Stavanger, Bergen, or Trondheim
Ready to come aboard?
You earn money: Yes, that’s correct. Competitive salary + performance bonuses
You save lives: Your work directly improves fish welfare every single day
You have a voice: We are a small, fast-moving team where your opinion shapes the company
You grow with us: As we expand globally, you will step into a senior leadership role
You join enthusiastic ocean nerds: We are engineers, scientists, and ocean lovers who support each other. We love fish, and we take Taco Fridays very seriously 🌮
We hire for attitude and heart. If you care about the ocean and want to do meaningful work, we want to hear from you. We review applications on an ongoing basis.
