Software Tester - NavStation
JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a software tester with maritime experience to join our NavStation team! As a software tester, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of our NavStation Planning Station software development and deployment. With your domain expertise and maritime experience you'll contribute and conduct manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users.
NavStation is a product built on C++ and Qt which enables the users to do route planning including Auto-routeing, real-time weather layers to Passage Planning, regulations, reporting and more where a range of digital navigational information is seamlessly integrated as overlays on official ENC charts.
Job Overview, Roles & Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze system specifications.
Create Test cases with Test steps.
Peer review of test cases.
Participate in creating and delivering software test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
Participates in manual testing while adhering to Software QA Governance procedures.
Execute test cases and analyze results.
Logging of defects in defect management tool.
Experience with SQL queries is a plus.
Report bugs and errors to development teams.
Help troubleshoot issues.
Support post-release/post-implementation testing.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Help in Production Deployment and support.
Test automation experience is a plus
Qualifications:
Maritime experience
Bachelor’s degree or other relevant education
Certification in ISTQB or relevant is a big plus
Must have experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.
Must have ample experience in implementing corrective/preventive measures
