Summer internships 2026

Do you want to spend your summer working with advanced underwater technology and contribute to the future of autonomous subsea operations?  

During the summer of 2026, we are looking for up to three interns to join our multidisciplinary R&D environment. The internship is well suited for master’s/bachelor’s students within the engineering studies of cybernetics, mechanics, electronics, computer science or similar, who want hands-on experience and insight into how we develop, test, and operate advanced autonomous systems.  

Familiarity with one or more of the following is preferred: 

• C/C++/C# and/or Python 

• Robotics 

• SolidWorks  

• Altium PCB designer 

• STM32 

• Networking 

• Automatic deployment and testing 

• Azure DevOps 

The internship period is June–August, with a flexible start/end date. Work takes place at our facilities in Nyhavna, Trondheim. You will spend time in the office, in the lab, and out in the field.  

What will you do?  

The internship is organized as a cross-disciplinary summer project, combined with ongoing tasks that support the daily work of the R&D team. Typical tasks may include:  

• Hands-on assistance in lab and test facilities  

• Setting up, executing, and documenting tests  

• Data analysis and reporting  

• Contributing to software, firmware, electronics, or IT-related sub-tasks  

• Mechanical tasks such as assembling components and supporting practical build work  

• Improvement work, documentation, and tool support for the team’s workflow  

Who are we looking for?  

You are currently pursuing a master’s or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and are motivated by learning, collaborating, and contributing to practical work in a multidisciplinary team.  

We are especially looking for candidates who are:  

• Curious and eager to learn  

• Proactive and take initiative  

• Self-driven, yet good at collaborating  

• Motivated by practical tasks and technical problem-solving
