The PSB Amazing Alpha (often just called the "Alpha") was introduced in the early 1990s and quickly became a benchmark for budget high-fidelity sound. It was designed by the renowned speaker engineer Paul Barton, the founder of PSB Speakers, with critical listening tests conducted at Canada's National Research Council (NRC) – a hallmark of PSB's scientific approach.
Its mission was simple: to deliver astonishingly accurate and engaging sound at an affordable price. It succeeded spectacularly, winning numerous awards and "Editor's Choice" accolades for years.

Design: 2-way, bass-reflex (rear-ported) bookshelf speaker.

Woofer: 5.25" mineral-filled polypropylene cone. Known for its tight, accurate bass.
