Take Part in Designing Advanced Control Systems

Jefferson Wells is recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Process Control Engineer to develop system design and detailed documentation for customized control systems. This role requires strong expertise in automation and control systems, and excellent English communication skills. Norwegian is an advantage but not mandatory.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop system design for customized external control systems.
• Prepare design basis aligned with project requirements and objectives.
• Actively participate in project reviews and relevant meetings.
• Participate in P&ID, HAZOP, and design reviews.
• Create detailed design documentation:
  
  • Signal List
  • Technical Specification
  • Functional Design Specification
  • Cause and Effect Diagram
  • Interface Lists
• Prepare technical specifications, RFQs, and purchase requisitions.
• Review and verify technical bids and supplier documentation.
• Coordinate technical information between project and suppliers.
• Verify that equipment and systems are assembled and delivered according to specifications.
• Participate in FAT.
• Provide input to commissioning procedures and participate in commissioning, gas trials, and test runs when required.

Background and Qualifications

• Education in Automation, Control Systems, or Cybernetics.
• Strong knowledge of control system design and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, process flow charts, instrument lists, and valve lists.
• Familiarity with control system hardware and software (programming skills not required).
• Experience with I/O lists, signal lists, functional design specifications, and safety matrices.
• Excellent English communication skills (Norwegian is an advantage).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
