We are now seeking a Service Engineer to join our technical team in Bergen. In this role, you will contribute to commissioning, testing, and supporting our control systems worldwide, working closely with experienced colleagues to build your expertise.

The Role 

As a Service Engineer, you will be involved in testing and supporting Scantrol’s control systems on a variety of vessels, including marine research vessels, commercial fishing vessels, and offshore service vessels. You will collaborate closely with experienced colleagues to ensure reliable performance and customer satisfaction. 
 
This is a hands-on position that combines technical troubleshooting, customer interaction, and occasional fieldwork. While most support is provided remotely, some travel is required both domestically and internationally, including assignments on board vessels when necessary.

Who You Are 

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow with us. If you have some of the following qualifications, we would love to hear from you—even if you don’t tick every box:

• Education in automation, electrical engineering, or similar (certificate of apprenticeship or technical college) 

• Experience with control systems and PLC programming 

• Skilled in testing and troubleshooting technical systems 

• Good computer and IT proficiency, with ability to learn new systems quickly 

• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, both oral and written
