Job description
The main tasks and responsibilities are production, product development, project coordination, and laboratory management. The position is lab-centered, employing a diverse set of methods including patient-derived cancer cell culture and functional analysis using microplates, organ-on-a-chip devices, drug screening and high content imaging.
It will entail production according to standardized protocols as well as research and development, improving existing methods, and establishing entirely new techniques. You will establish patient-derived cell cultures from various cancer types and take part in optimizing respective cell culture protocols, and you will ensure strict and efficient quality management across the laboratory. You need to be able to work independently. We are, however, a strong team working closely together in the same direction, constantly sharing ideas and helping each other out when faced with challenges. We have projects with hospitals, universities, and industry partners that you will take part in.
Qualifications
We are looking for conscientious, hardworking, and robust individuals with a passion for science, technology, and health care. Experience with cell culture and functional assays is required. Analytic skills are a plus. You must be flexible, curious, open-minded, and like to solve problems. It is crucial that you pay attention to detail and the quality of your work.

In brief, we cultivate the patient’s own living cancer cells and test them against an array of clinically relevant drugs and drug combinations. The product is a diagnostic report that identifies both which cancer drugs are likely to be efficacious and which are not. The test will be marketed as a therapeutic decision tool towards pharmaceutical industry, medical laboratories, and public and private hospitals.
