For sale: an exceptional and rather rare Omega Constellation Bi-Color (solid gold) Ref. 168.0055 from 1979, featuring an integrated bracelet.
This watch is in outstanding collector-grade condition — virtually NOS (New Old Stock) — showing no signs of wear. The original Omega caseback stickers are still intact. It comes complete with its original box and instruction booklet, making it a true time capsule from the late 1970s.
• Case: 35 mm, in pristine, unworn condition. The bezel is crafted from solid 14k gold (approx. 6.5 grams).
• Bracelet: integrated stainless steel and solid 14k gold, also in excellent condition. The total gold content in the bracelet is about 18 grams (each link weighs roughly 1.3g). Fits a 19–19.5 cm wrist comfortably.
• Total gold weight: over 24 grams of solid 14k gold combined.
• Dial: immaculate, perfectly preserved.
• Crystal: original, clean, free of scratches.
• Crown: original, signed Omega.
• Movement: automatic Cal. 1011, essentially the last true in-house Omega movement before the brand transitioned to ETA-based calibers. Only many years later did Omega return to in-house designs with the Co-Axial series. The movement runs, but as it has never been opened or serviced, a preventive service is recommended.
This watch stands as a remarkable testament to the era — a fine example of Omega’s craftsmanship during the final years of its golden age.
