Det er også en liten historie bak dette fantastiske gitaren fra fra Martin Custom Shop. I januar 2022 ble det annonsert at Madagaskar-rosentre ikke lenger ville være tilgjengelig for spesialtilpassede instrumenter. There is also a little story behind this fantastic guitar from the Martin Custom Shop. In January 2022 it was announced that Madagascar rosewood would no longer be available for custom instruments. It is a shame, because this wood is known for its excellent sound properties. In November 2022, completely unexpectedly, we received a call from the USA that the last two Madagascar rosewood sets had become available due to a cancellation from another dealer. So it was logical that we wanted these two very special guitars.
One of these instruments is the Martin D-42 Modern Deluxe Custom Shop shown here. The basis is the D-42 Modern Deluxe, which in itself is an absolutely top-class instrument. As the top material, we chose the powerful-sounding Adirondack spruce, which has been subjected to the VTS (Vintage Tone System) process to achieve a well-rehearsed sound character. The back and sides were made of the aforementioned Madagascar rosewood. The rest of the guitar exactly matches the specifications of the D-42 Modern Deluxe. These include flame maple bindings, Adirondack bracing, beautiful mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays, gold frets, a carbon composite bridge plate and floating metal pegs, to name a few of the special components.
This can only result in a high-class instrument. Powerful, clear bass meets bell-like treble with beautiful overtones and very good string spacing. A unique piece of jewelry that can only be found once in Europe?
